Lecture and discussion series in summer and fall 2023: »Vocational training for the automotive transformation«

The work carried out so far in the BeaT project shows that there are various gaps in knowledge and areas of interest that need to be addressed in order to symbolically renew vocational education and training and thus contribute to a successful transformation. This online lecture series ties in with this by bringing together experts and making their knowledge on relevant aspects publicly available.

On the one hand, the focus will be on the technical innovations that are driving and shaping the transformation. In particular, the necessary and rapid shift in mobility to new energy sources such as electricity and hydrogen and their overarching significance will be the focus of attention. On the other hand, the introduction of

these technologies in production and products requires new qualifications and qualification paths for skilled workers.

Another part of the lecture series therefore deals with the recruitment of skilled workers and the practical organization of continuing vocational training in companies.

However, the transformation is not only a technological process, but also a social upheaval. Therefore, the series will also address overarching social development paths and their classification, as well as possible ways of shaping them.

The event series is aimed at all interested parties affected by transformation processes, in particular representatives of the automotive and supplier industries and employees.

The event will take place in German online via Zoom and will be organized on a regular basis.
