Their performance, safety, and service life depend on a wide range of technological factors—from the materials used and cell design to appropriate testing and characterization methods. At the same time, regulatory requirements and safety considerations are becoming increasingly important throughout the entire value chain.
The seminar »Understanding and Experiencing Modern Batteries Firsthand« provides a thorough and practical understanding of modern battery technologies with a special focus on lithium-ion batteries. Participants will gain a clear introduction to the fundamental electrochemical processes, learn about the structure and function of key cell components, and gain insights into current materials, cell chemistries, and testing methods.
In addition to the theoretical fundamentals, the seminar emphasizes practical application. Interactive exercises, laboratory demonstrations, and live tests enable participants to immediately grasp technical concepts and become familiar with modern testing and characterization methods. These include, among other things, insights into the industrial battery test center, the hands-on assembly of a battery cell, and non-destructive analysis using X-ray computed tomography.
